The overlay of lines in Body Paint represents markings that are traditionally painted on women’s torsos at ceremonies of gratitude towards Mother Earth. The painterly lines in the this work are powerful and strong. Each line intersects to echo the connection of Indigenous people living harmoniously with their mother land.
