bleux worked with the Chinese Gardens of Friendship Advisory Committee to create a new suite of signage. This signage enriches the visitor experience and provides a clear sense of direction whilst navigating the space.
Previously, the traditional layout of the Gardens proved a challenge for visitors, and finding key facilities and points of interest was difficult. To solve this issue, bleux developed a series of key wayfinding signs that provides both position markers as well as directional cues. The signage successfully reflects the Darling Harbour branding through use of typography, but also supports the traditional architectural character, utilising new materials and finishes to upgrade the facilities.
The project scope also included an upgrade of existing statutory signage, including egress, braille and tactile signage.
