The brief for this project in rural NSW was to come up with a colour scheme that refers to the life cycle of the non deciduous eucalyptus tree. In the entry area, a gigantic abstract eucalyptus leaf introduces the concept over three walls, creating a spectacular reference to the local landscape. The colour cycle is further manifested in a stairwell gradient, which shows the different colours of the eucalyptus leaf over five levels. Moreover, bleux project managed the childrens’ ward package, which was inspired by childrens’ books. Graphic pieces by various artists create a playful environment to improve the healing process for young patients.
