Safety Bands

All our designs can be converted to safety bands to provide the visual contrast required to meet BCA requirements. And because every project has different lighting conditions and colour schemes, we work with the BCA compliance officer to ensure a successful result*. We can also incorporate the client’s logo or colour the designs to complement the corporate identity.

The must-haves for safety bands:

• Width of band to be minimum of 75mm

• Extend across the full width of glass as a solid, non-transparent element

• Lower edge of band must be located between 900mm and 1000mm above floor level

• 30% contrast with background. Any contrasting line on the glazing shall provide a minimum of 30% luminance contrast when viewed against the floor surface or surfaces within 2m of the glazing on the opposite side

• Look great!
